What is the best way to reach you?The best way to contact me is through text message. I get phone ambushed all the time from people calling to ask me all sorts of random questions, keeping me on the phone for hours helping them. I am too nice and can’t get off the call. So I have stopped answering calls. A text message allows me to screen out people who are serious about purchasing one of my puppies, clients who have a question about my program or need to know something before proceeding. I am easy to find and do research on, I always try to show I’m a real person. Claudia 310-293-0126

Do you sell with Full AKC? Can I breed my puppy? Our puppies are sold with Limited AKC Registration (meaning on a spay/neuter pet contract). However I may offer Full AKC on dogs that I feel are of breeding quality. To approved responsible breeders, whose breeding standards are similar to ours.
-
Will I get AKC papers? All puppies are sold with Limited AKC which means the dog cannot be used for breeding purposes. All puppies are sold under a strict spay/neuter contract. I expect the client to comply when puppy reaches 6 months of age or when your vet feels it's safe. AKC papers if requested for your puppy will be released AFTER proof of spay or neuter is received and verified with your vet via phone. *Buyer must notify breeder if he/she will be requesting AKC papers during the puppy purchase phase. If buyer fails to communicate with breeder and requests paperwork at a later date (6m-1yr after puppy purchase) buyer will be responsible for all late AKC registration fees (up to $150)

Can my puppy stay longer with you?I've had a lot of buyers tell me last minute they have a vacation pending and cannot pick up their puppy at the time frame they were given. If you are traveling please let me know before filling out our puppy application. I try to be accommodating however, I am a one person show. Depending on how busy my schedule is, we might not be able to hold your puppy longer than expected. I will be more stern with this because it's a lot of work! Additional days for me means, more puppy supplies, food, pads, wash loads, grooming etc. Our fee will be $65 per day, for boarding until you do pick your puppy up. Puppy must be paid in full if you are considering picking up at a later time. This ensures me, you will be returning to pick up your puppy as promised.

I am unable to keep my puppy, will you take it back?Luxurious Shih tzu assumes a lifetime responsibility for all the dogs we produce. We make a lifetime commitment to every dog we sell. I do not want any of my babies ending up in shelters or homeless. We will gladly take back any puppy sold if you are unable to keep it. It is our responsibility to place all of our babies to forever loving homes.
-
Do you allow home visits?Yes I do allow home visits by appointment only, on puppies that are vaccinated usually 9-10 weeks of age with some immunity built up against infectious diseases and illness. Our home visits are usually 30 min long. Our puppies are tiny and need appropriate rest, feeding, and naps throughout the day. We do not allow outside animals (pets) in our home and we ask that you do not visit any other kennels, pet shops or rescue centers on the same day, this is solely for our dogs safety. We set these rules with our puppies best interest and health in mind as diseases can migrate into our home and puppies that are not yet vaccinated will be susceptible to these viruses and bacteria. We feel it's our responsibility to our new puppy parents to keep their puppy safe and healthy. Visiting rules: ✨No Shoes inside ✨Must wear a mask (I can provide) ✨Must Wash hands upon arrival ✨Only Two people max (Unless you have a baby or toddler) *Beware our home is fully equipped with security cameras for our safety*

What is an Imperial Shih tzu? is it the same as a regular Shih tzu?Imperial Shih tzu is a smaller Shih tzu 4-8 lbs. Just like Poodles have different sizes (see chart below) so do Shih tzu. Imperial is just a reference we use to refer to a smaller Shih tzu. Standard Shih tzu are 9-16 lbs. We breed Imperials and Small Standard Shih tzu 4-12 lbs. This is just our preference anything bigger hurts my back haha! Both sizes are equally the same meaning both live up to 10-16 years, have the same personality etc. They are literally the same dog just different sizes.
